The European Commission has published the EU AI Act Compliance Checker tool, which helps individuals and organizations better understand the obligations and requirements arising from the Artificial Intelligence Act.

The main purpose of this “identification calculator” is to provide an informative overview of whether and how a specific AI model or AI system is subject to the various provisions of the AIA. Furthermore, this tool is intended to help understand the obligations that directly apply to the given AI model or AI system.

The EU AI Act Compliance Checker should be seen as a support tool that does not provide legal advice. Its output does not constitute an official position of the European Commission. Given the potential legal implications, it is therefore recommended that any output should be consulted with a legal professional before its application.

The EU AI Act Compliance Checker is available online and is currently in beta version. The tool is still under development and users are encouraged to provide feedback to improve the tool.
