Data collection 2023

CTU performed in 2024 via its Electronic data collection system (ESD) a broad data collection on the existing electronic communications networks infrastructure with focus on the identification of connections allowing the provision of internet access services at a fixed location at predetermined speed intervals, cathegorised to individual address points. The collected data refers to 31 December 2023.

The results were submitted to Ministry of Industry and Trade (MPO) mainly for the purpose of defining the so-called regions for intervention.

For information, CTU presents coverage map of electronic communications networks in the Czech Republic. The map shows the level of coverage of individual address points with disposable connections for Internet access services at a fixed location with effective speed of 30 Mbit/s and higher and with effective speed of 100 Mbit/s and higher in individual basic residential units (ZSJ).

Other source data is available in the section "Open data of CTU". In particular, there is a summary table of all ZSJ in the Czech Republic (including the total percentage of coverage and number of undertakings active in the ZSJ) cathegorised by speed, namely 30 Mbit/s and higher and 100 Mbit/s and higher. In addition, CTU publishes summary tables with data on coverage aggregated into regions of the Czech Republic according to the percentage of ZSJ coverage intervals cathegorised by speed, namely 30 Mbit/s and higher and 100 Mbit/s and higher.
