European Commission launched a consultation on protecting children in the digital environment

On 13 May 2025, the European Commission launched a public consultation on draft Guidelines on protection of minors online under Article 28(4) of the DSA Regulation. The Guidelines focus on appropriate measures for providers of online platforms (including very large online platforms) to ensure a high level of privacy, security and protection of minors in the digital space. The draft Guidelines can be found on the European Commission's website here. Comments can be submitted using the online form by 10 June 2025.
