PRESS RELEASE: CTU Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with the Office for the Protection of Competition (UOHS) in Regulation and Supervision
Prague, 21 October 2025 – CTU signs memorandum of cooperation with the Office for the Protection of Competition. The document was signed by the Chairman of UOHS Petr Mlsna and the Chairman of CTU Council Marek Ebert at today's meeting in Prague.
"The Memorandum will enable a clearer and more concrete definition of cooperation, as well as a closer sharing of tools and procedures," summarises Marek Ebert, Chairman of CTU Council.
Specifically, enhanced cooperation will involve mutual consultations on measures and decisions that may have an impact on the regulated sector, as well as active support in resolving individual cases, provision of consultations, documents and data, and sharing of selected analytical tools and methodology. Both parties will also share information about their findings gained through international activities or newly emerging legislation. Regular meetings will also be held to discuss the state of competition in the telecommunications sector and to coordinate communication between the two authorities in order to raise awareness among the general public and the business community.
The new memorandum relates to the document on mutual cooperation that both authorities signed in 2001 and brings significant expansion.
