Today, the European Commission published a proposal for a regulation for the Digital Networks Act (DNA) and its accompanying documents. The proposal will now be subject to the standard legislative process in the EU, i.e. discussed by Member States' representatives in the Council of the EU and Members in the European Parliament. In particular, DNA will replace the 2018 European Electronic Communications Code, but also parts of other regulations, such as Regulation (EU) 2015/2120, from which it will take over the part containing rules on open internet access.
