PRESS RELEASE: We have published the Spectrum Management Strategy for comments

Prague, 10 October 2024 - CTU has published draft new Spectrum Management Strategy (https://ctu.gov.cz/en/call-comments-draft-radio-spectrum-management-strategy) for public and expert comments. On the basis of these comments, a workshop will be organised (probably in November) to discuss their settlement.

The strategy is based on the pillars of making frequencies available, creating conditions for efficient spectrum management, implementing tools for efficient spectrum use and developing expertise in spectrum management. The long-term vision of the Strategy is to promote the societal benefits of radio spectrum use. These include in particular the development of the availability of connectivity to electronic communications networks, including public mobile networks and local or regional access networks, radio and TV broadcasting distribution networks, and the availability of radio frequencies for a variety of users and applications, ranging from non-licenced utilisation, including consumer electronics, to private and industrial networks.
